• We did our class Spelling Bee today, and Eli and Grant will be advancing to the school Spelling Bee, which will take place February 10th. It will be fun to watch them compete.

Today we talked about static electricity in our class, and I gave each student a balloon. They rubbed the balloons on their heads, and then stuck them to various things around the classroom. It got a little crazy, but it only lasted 5 minutes, and the kids had a great time.

• Writing Assignment- What was your favorite gift for Christmas?? The students need to write a 5 paragraph essay about their favorite gift. Give good reasons why it was your favorite gift! This is HW if the students didn't finish it in class today. Please email with any questions you may have about this assignment.
• Next week is the PWA for students. This is a practice writing assessment. I hope all of this writing will help them do well next week!
